In order to provide protection against sun, wind and water, to add privacy to life on board and to afford the pleasure of having “two boats in one”, the exclusive “Convertible Top” system enables the open version to be turned into a coupé through a simple control. Besenzoni-designed roof system uses a pair of hydraulic arms to swing the entire hardtop forwards and lower it into position on the foredeck seating. As Riva’s third largest craft this means that, once the arms have retracted into their pods on the sides of the coachroof, you are left basking in around 40 feet of open cockpit space – and if you want to retain that bow seating, you can even leave the roof section partially elevated, as a sunshade for the foredeck passengers. Riva 88′ Florida is 26.84 meters long and, in the words of its creator, the designer Mauro Micheli, is the spiritual successor of the “Bahamas”.
